About the event
The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARFRDF) has initiated work to introduce ESG principles into the regulation of the financial market.
Regulation will be focused on stimulating financial organizations for sustainable development in order to redistribute financial resources in favor of sustainable projects. This will have a positive impact on increasing the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Kazakhstan and contributes to the growth of social and environmental responsibility of companies.
We invite representatives of companies, experts in the field of business and sustainable development, as well as various groups of stakeholders to exchange ideas for transforming corporate governance and methods of interaction based on benchmarking and practical cases on assessing ESG risks in Kazakhstan.

- Review of ESG ratings for Y2022-2023 for financial organizations in Kazakhstan. Discussion of the level of readiness to implement sustainable finance approaches
Topic 2: How to work with ESG risks and opportunities when making credit and investment decisions
- An overview of key ESG risk drivers that need to be included in the decision-making process. Examples of products and services to help financial institutions
Topic 3: Increasing the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan
- Regulatory environment and ESG standards for the financial sector in Kazakhstan. Forms of interaction between regulatory authorities, financial institutions and the expert community will help increase the country's investment attractiveness, including in the area of the climate agenda.
